This is the first in a two part series about how to get rid of pimples in a holistic way. There are many different products on the market that you can get to cure acne, however many of them use very harsh and harmful chemicals that can be damaging to your skin. In fact, some of them even use peroxide and if you read the warnings on the labels you will see that exposing yourself to UV light (that is, the sun) when you are using it then you can have very bad side affects.
If you are like most acne sufferers then the last thing you want is to have to hide inside once you have learned how to get rid of pimples from your skin - after all you got rid of it so you could feel confident being around other people, not so that you could spend the rest of your life hiding inside.
Acne skin care is very important. Before you do anything else, the first step in your acne skin care journey should be to get a good face wash, toner and moisturizer. Often, acne sufferers believe that they should not use moisturizer because their skin is already very oily. However, when you use face wash and toner you strip the skin of its natural moisture. If this is not replaced, it can lead to premature aging and dry, rough skin. Moisturizer is 'good moisture' for your skin. You should definitely look for a face wash, toner and moisturizer that is suited to your particular skin type - there are a lot of different, specific options on the market today.
Our first tip when looking at acne holistic control methods is to look at your diet. Different people have different biological triggers. So just because a magazine says that chocolate is going to make you break out or because your best friend can not eat yeast or they will break out, it does not mean that any of these things will trigger a break out in you. You should get a journal and keep a food diary for at least a month. In this, you should list everything you eat and at what time and then record when you have a break out. It is unlikely that any food you are eating will cause an immediate break out (if this does happen, it is possible you have an allergy and in this case you should go and see a doctor as soon as possible). You can normally track foods within 12 hours of eating them that create a break out. If you think you may have found a food that causes a break out, test it by eating it and looking at the effects. Once you have this information you are able to cut that food out of your diet and therefore you will know you can avoid pimples from that particular area. However, if you have constant acne it is unlikely to just be one food that is causing you to have pimples.
If neither the acne skin care nor the acne holistic control methods work for you, the you need to go and see a skin specialist. The skin specialist will be able to run tests that will determine the cause of the acne and they can then show you how to get rid of pimples. Sometimes this will mean not using an acne holistic approach as they may decide that your acne is too severe and needs to be treated with medication. If this is the case then you should always listen to the advice of your skin specialist. It would be nice if everything could be healed holistically but this is not always the case and sometimes we need to accept that medicine is the best cure.
